Md Shahabuddin took oath as the 22nd President of Bangladesh today.
The oath-taking ceremony was held in the historic Durbar Hall of the Bangabhaban around 11:00am.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath of office to Sahabuddin.
After the swearing-in ceremony, Md Shahabuddin signed the oath documents of the office of the president.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, cabinet members and hundreds of distinguished guests attended the event. Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain conducted the programme.
