No scope of question leak in ongoing SSC examinations: Dipu Moni

The education minister Dipu Moni on Sunday said that there was no scope for leakage of question papers in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations.

During visiting an exam centre at Badda High School in the capital, she also said that stern actions would be taken in cases of spreading rumours, said a press release issued by the ministry.

The SSC and its equivalent examinations began on Sunday across the country.

Dipu Moni also said that they were monitoring the social media continuously to prevent spreading of rumours of question leakage.

Replying to a question, she also said that they were trying to bring forward the time of holding the examinations.

‘Last year we had to pay huge for errors in the question papers,’ she said about errors in the questions.

During her visit the minister was accompanied by the deputy education minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, and Secondary and Higher Education Division secretary Soleman Khan.

The examinations were held from 10:00am to 1:00pm.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police earlier banned entry of the people except the candidates into the 200 yards of the examination centres during examinations for fair and peaceful examinations.

The number of the SSC and equivalent examinees this year is 20,72,163, examination centres is 3,810 and educational institutions is 29,798.

The theoretical parts of the examinations will end by May 25 and the practical parts by June 4.
