Four persons were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Naogaon's Mohadevpur upazila this afternoon.
The deceased are the driver of the auto-rickshaw Pappu and its three passengers, who are yet to be identified, Mohadevpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mozaffar Hossain told.
The accident took place around 12:45pm on Naogaon-Rajshahi Highway at Hat Chakgauri area, the OC said.
The truck was heading toward Rajshahi while the auto-rickshaw was coming from the opposite direction, resulting in the head-on collision, said Sub-Inspector Ashrafuzzaman of the police station.
The victims died on the spot, he said. Police seized the truck but its driver fled.
