Rab last night arrested a man in Narayanganj in a case filed for raping a child in Madaripur on July 7.
A team of Rab arrested accused rapist Shawkat Tostar, 29, from Siddhirganj upazila around 9:45pm, said Mustasim Rasul, a company commander of Rab-8 in Madaripur.
Shawkat had been hiding after he raped the 14-year-old when she was on her way home from a neighbour's house, Rab officials said.
The victim's father filed a case with Madaripur Sadar Police Station in this regard.
