A female doctor died of dengue at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Friday.
The victim, Mosammat Sharifa Binte Aziz, 27, died at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital at about 5:00am while undergoing treatment there.
Sharifa is a daughter of Aziz Bhuiyan of Joypara village under Dohar upazila in Dhaka district.
She was admitted to the ICU at about 4:30pm on Thursday.
Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Md Bachchu Mia said, "A female doctor namely Sharifa Binte Aziz was brought to the hospital with dengue fever from Dohar in Dhaka yesterday afternoon. He was immediately admitted to ICU.’
He said that the body was handed over to her family members after completing legal process.
Earlier on August 7, another doctor Dewan Almina Mishu died at the ICU of DMCH.
