Three police constables were killed and two others were injured as a train hit police van in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram around noon.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
The accident took place around 12:30pm in Fakirhat Level Crossing, reports our staff correspondent quoting Officer-in-Charge of Sitakunda Police Station Md Tofayel Ahmed.
Nur Alam Ashek, sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost, told that, "Three were brought dead at the CMCH emergency department."
Chattogram Railway Superintendent of Police, Md Hasan Chowdhury, said, "We are on our way to the spot to investigate, details will be shared later."
