Fire at Mohammadpur Krishi Market brought under control

The fire that broke out at Mohammadpur Krishi Market in Dhaka on early Thursday, was brought under control at about 9:30am, said Fire Service director for operations Lieutenant Colonel Tajul Islam.

The Fire broke out at about 3:45am.

A total of 17 firefighting units of the fire service were working at the spot, said Fire Service Headquarters deputy assistant director Shahjahan Sikder.

Members of police and Rapid Action Battalion had also been deployed at the spot, he said.

Reason behind the fire could not be confirmed immediately.

Two platoons of BGB also joined the operation at Krishi Market.
