Two Rohingyas were shot to death in separate attacks by unidentified armed groups at Ukhiya camp in Cox’s Bazar on early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Ahammed Hossain, 36, resident of Camp No. 7 and Sana Ullah, 27, resident of Camp No. 2.
The incidents took place between 3:00am to 4:00am, said Sheikh Mohammad Ali, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya police station.
Ahammed Hossain was gunned down by some armed miscreants in the camp no 7.
Sana Ullah was shot when 20 to 30 unidentified members of armed groups opened fire at camp no. 2.
Police suspected that the incidents happened due to rivalry over establishing supremacy at the camp.
The bodies were sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations, said the OC.
