Mother, two sons found dead at home in Brahmanbaria

A woman and her two sons were found dead inside their bedroom in Brahmanbaria's Bancharampur upazila this morning.

Police recovered the bodies around 10:00am from their house in Charchayani village in the upazila's Ayubpur union, reports our local correspondent quoting Noore Alam, officer-in-charge of Bancharampur Model Police Station.

The deceased were identified as Jessy Akhter, 35, wife of Shah Alam, an expatriate working in Saudi Arabia, and her sons Mahin, 14, and Mohin, 7.

The OC said there were injury marks on Jessy's and Mahin's heads and that they were suspecting that they were murdered.

Jessy's seven-month-old daughter, Ojiha, was found alive, he said.

According to police and local sources, they have been living in a building in Charchayani village. Jasmine Akhter, a housekeeper who came to work at the house this morning, found the main gate closed and called out to them but got no response.

She collected a key from Jessy's sister-in-law and opened the main gate but found the door to the house locked. She informed the incident to the neighbours and they later informed the police.

Law enforcers reached the spot and broke the door of the house and recovered their bodies.

"They may have been murdered by a group of criminals in the early hours of the morning," the OC said, adding that the killers did not take any goods from the victim's house.
