Western, northwestern Bangladesh to experience cold wave

Mild cold wave may sweep at places over western and northwestern part of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department bulletin issued on Wednesday.

‘Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country having chances of drizzle at places over Rangpur division. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning,’ it added.

The night temperature may fall by 1 to 3 degrees Celcius and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 31.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and Wednesday’s minimum temperature was recorded 12.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.

However, no rainfall was traced anywhere across the country in 24 hours till 6:00am on Wednesday.

The sun will set at 05:12pm on Wednesday day and rise at 06:32am on Thursday in the capital.
