Four people were killed and several injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a pickup van on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar early on Thursday.
The deceased were Md Ridwan, 32, Moin Uddin, 44, Abu Bakkar, 30, and Jaynal, 34, all of whom were labourers.
Chakaria highway police station OC Mahbubul Huq said at least 10 people had been injured and taken to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
The police had seized the two vehicles and would take legal action, he added.
