Dinajpur records Thursday's lowest temperature at 8:3°C

Dinjapur on Thursday morning recorded a minimum temperature of 8.3°C as the winter has taken an intense turn in the northern district.

The biting cold with heavy fog and chilling wind has created sufferings for the people.

Low income people are coming out of their house in search of work ignoring the cold.

According to the Dinajpur Meteorological Office on Thursday, the minimum temperature in the district was recorded at 9am which is the lowest temperature in the country.

The lowest temperature of the country was recorded at 10.5°C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, long-distance vehicles are running with their headlights on due to the fog in Dinajpur.

The district is experiencing light rain from evening to morning. Low income people are not able to go out of the house due to lack of warm clothes. As a result, there is a food shortage in these families.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the districts of Naogaon and it may spread, according to a met office release.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt due to thick fog.
