A woman and his 19-year-old son were killed being hit by a bus in Jhawaile area under Gopalpur upazila in Tangail on Saturday.
The deceased are China Begum, 48, wife of late Kamruzzaman Tota and her son Sakib Miah of Mouza Dakuri village under the upazila.
The accident occurred when Sakib Miah was going to Gopalpur upazila headquarters riding a motorcycle with his mother and collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction in the area around 8am this morning.
They died on the spot, Gopalpur Police Station officer-in-charge Emdadul Islam Taiyab said.
Police recovered the bodies from the spot and seized the bus but its driver and helper managed to escape, the OC added.
