The government has adjusted the pricing of fuel in line with the global market. With the latest development, the price of diesel and kerosene has been reduced by 75 paisa per litre. Price of petrol has decreased by Tk3 and octane Tk4 per litre.
The new prices will come into effect from Friday, according to a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Thursday.
According to the notification, the price of diesel and kerosene per liter has been reduced from Tk109 to Tk108.25. The price of kerosene is kept at par with diesel to prevent adulteration.
The price of octane has been reduced from Tk130 to Tk126 while the price of petrol went down from Tk125 to Tk122.
From now, prices will be adjusted in the first week of each month under a new automatic system based on the international market.
