A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping Dhaka, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.
According to a regular bulletin of the met office on Wednesday, the heatwave may spread to other regions. Due to an increase in moisture incursion, the discomfort may increase, it said.
Besides, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely at one or two places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Kishoreganj and Brahmanbaria with hails at isolated places.
The weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
