The weather may remain mainly dry, with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.

The highest temperature on Thursday was 39.2°C in Rajshahi, and the lowest temperature of 20°C was recorded in Sylhet on Friday.

The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours until 6am was recorded at 78 millimetres (mm) in Sylhet.

A mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi division and the districts of Tangail, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Rangamati, and it may continue.

Due to an increased moisture incursion, the discomfort may persist.

Day and nighttime temperatures may remain nearly unchanged throughout the country.
