5 Eid congregations to be held at Baitul Mukarram

A total of five Eid congregations (jamaat) will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka in phases on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals of Muslims.

In a statement, the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh said that the first of the five congregations will be held at 7am. The second will take place at 8am, the third one at 9am and the fourth one at 10am. The last one of the day will be held at 10:45am.

The foundation also fixed Imams and Mukabbirs for the congregations.

The national mosque's senior Imam Hafez Mufti Maulana Md Mizanur Rahman will lead the first congregation while the second congregation will be held by Imam Hafez Maulana Md Ehsanul Haque.

The third Eid congregation will be led by Imam Hafez Maulana Mufti Muhiuddin Qasem while the fourth one will led by Islamic Foundation's Mufassir Dr Md Abu Saleh Patwari.

The fifth and last congregation will be led by Maulana Mohammad Noor Uddin of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

According to the Islamic Foundation, if any Imam is absent in five congregations, Maulana Mohammad Noor Uddin will act as the alternate Imam.
