The national moon-sighting committee will assemble on Tuesday to determine the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, the first of the two biggest festivals of Muslims.
The meeting will be held in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram Mosque office in the capital at around 6:30pm after Maghrib prayers, reads a press release of the Islamic Foundation dated Monday.
Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan will preside over the meeting.
People have been requested to inform the committee through the following phone and fax numbers if they see the Shawwal moon anywhere in Bangladesh's sky.
