Netrokona, Dec 20 (Just News): BNP’s election candidate from Netrokona-1 constituency Barrister Kayser Kamal staged a sit-in demonstration today protesting attack on him and his followers.
The demonstration was staged in front of the office of Assistant Returning Officer, the UNO of Kalmakanda, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm this afternoon.
They claimed they were attacked by activists of Awami League, en-route to the UNO’s office today.
At the demonstration, he also urged police to stop arbitrary arrests and harassment of BNP leaders and activists immediately.
However, Mazharul Karim, officer-in-charge of Kalmakanda Police Station, said no incident of attack took place in his area.
