The police super briefed to reporters after a Feni senior Judicial magistrate court recorded the confessional statement of principal Siraj this afternoon.

“In his confession, the principal told the court that when Nur Uddin and Shahadat met him in jail, he ordered them to burn her to death if she did not agree to drop sexual abuse charges against him,” Iqbal said

Siraj also asked them to stage the murder as a case of suicide, the SP added.

Police arrested Siraj in the sexual harassment case filed by Nusrat's mother on March 27. On April 10, a Feni court placed madrasa principal Siraj, the main suspect in the murder case, on a seven-day remand.

On April 6, she was set afire at an examination centre of Alim examination allegedly by students loyal to Principal Siraj Ud Doula of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa after he was arrested and subsequently suspended as Rafi had accused him of sexually harassing her.
