Four members of a family died in a lightning strike in Chandpur on Sunday noon.
The deceased were identified as Wahida Begum, her daughter Rehena Begum, grandchildren Sabbir and Samia.
According to the source, they went to Megna estuary for roaming from Cumilla’s Chandina. They suffered injuries after a lightning struck them. Later, local people recovered and sent them to Chandpur Sadar Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead.
