Babuganj Upazila Health Complex in Barishal has been locked down after three people, including a nurse, tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.
All physicians and nurses of the health complex have also been placed under home quarantine, said Resident Physician Aman Adnan Upal.
On Sunday, samples of the three, including the nurse and a staffer, who were showing Covid-19 like symptoms, were sent to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College for tests, and the results came positive yesterday, Aman said.
The physician said the nurse and the staffer were physically healthy, and they were being treated at home. The third, a patient, has been sent to the corona unit of SBMC, he added.
With these three, the tally of confirmed coronavirus cases in the district now stands at six while 14 in the division.
