BNP announces four-day programmes from tomorrow

BNP today announced a four-day fresh anti-government movement starting from tomorrow to press home their demands for the release of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and resignation of Awami League government.

BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi unveiled the programmes at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan office today.

On August 16, the party will arrange prayers at all the metropolitans, districts, and upazilas, seeking improvement in Khaleda's health condition.

On Thursday, BNP leaders and activists will distribute leaflets countrywide demanding Khaleda's immediate release and proper treatment.

On Friday, BNP will stage mass processions simultaneously at all metropolitans, including Dhaka, demanding the government's resignation.

The next day, road marches will be organised in metropolitans and districts to put pressure on the government to accept BNP's demands.

Rizvi said people are frustrated with the government's "misrule" and are ready to join BNP's movement to realise their rights.
