CPB wants resignation of AL govt

The Communist Party of Bangladesh on Friday at a march programme in Dhaka demanded resignation of the Awami League government and holding the next general election under a neutral caretaker government in a free, fair and credible manner.

Dhaka City north unit of the party organised the rally on Vision Road at Kafrul where president of Kafrul thana CPB, Kausar Mahmud chaired.

At the rally, general secretary of the party Ruhin Hossain Prince demanded resignation of the Awami League government and holding the next general election under a neutral caretaker government in a free, fair and credible manner.

He said that the CPB would not take part in the next general election under the ruling AL government.

The AL government had failed to control abnormal price hikes of the essential commodities and markets were controlled by unscrupulous syndicates, Ruhin Hossain said.

President of Dhaka City north unit Sajedul Huq Rubel, general secretary Luna Noor, central leaders Motaleb Hossan, Rasel Islam Suman, Khan Asaduzzaman Masum and others spoke at the rally.
