BNP starts handing over nominations

Dhaka, Nov 26 (Just News) : The Bangladesh Nationalist Party has started handing over nomination letters to party selected candidates this afternoon for the 11th general election scheduled for December 30.

BNP chairperson press wing member on Monday that the nomination letters were handed over firstly to Barishal division’s candidates at around 3:00pm at the party’s Gulshan office in the city.

The party joint secretary general Mojibar Rahman Sarwar took the first nomination paper for Barishal 5. Former MP Nazimuddin Alam took nomination for Bhola 4.

Bogura district BNP president Saiful Islam collected nomination paper on behalf of the party chairperson Khaleda Zia for Bogura 6 and BNP advisory council member Helaluzzaman Talukder collected nomination paper for Bogura 7 on behalf of Khaleda from the party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

Earlier, on Sunday evening, BNP standing committee members held a meeting at the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office to finalise the party nominations, party leaders said.
