Due to inclement weather, the first ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand in Mirpur has been shortened to a 42-over match on Thursday.
Rain interrupted play after 4.2 overs at approximately 2:22 pm, leading to a two-hour pause in the match.
Under the revised playing conditions, each side can bat a maximum of 42 overs. Two bowlers can deliver a maximum of nine overs each, while three bowlers can bowl a maximum of eight overs each.
The initial nine overs will be designated as the first powerplay, followed by the second powerplay from the 10th to the 34th over, and the remaining overs will constitute the third powerplay.
Bangladesh won the toss in this match and chose to bowl first.
The second and third matches of this series will take place on September 23rd and 26th at the same venue.
