Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has strongly condemned the online harassment campaign targeting U.S.-based Bangladeshi journalist Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey.
Mushfique, known for his work in upholding press freedom and democracy, faced threats after questioning the Department of State (DoS) and the UN Spokesperson regarding the recent crackdown on political opposition in India.
CPJ emphasized the importance of journalists being able to carry out their work without fear of reprisal and intimidation.
The organization called for an end to the harassment and for measures to ensure the safety and protection of journalists worldwide.
