Covid-19 claimed 26 more people in the past 24 hours ending 8:00am Friday, said the daily Covid update by the Director General of Health Services.
A total of 1,504 people got infected with the viral disease during the same time and totalling the infections to 786,698.
The latest death figure took the overall death toll from Covid-19 to 12,310, showed the update.
A total of 18,294 samples have been tested in the past 24 hours with 8.22 per cent of the samples testing positive for Covid-19.
Khulna logged the highest number of 10 deaths in the time line followed by six deaths recorded in Chattogram and four deaths in Rajshahi.

Some 1,529 people recovered from the viral disease totalling the recovery to o729,039.
