Two people were killed and five others were injured in a road accident in Shitalpur area of Sitakunda in Chattogram on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Atiqur Rahman, 27, and Abdul Khalek, 50, and the injured are — Mohsin, 23, Sajib, 30, Alam, 30, Nobin, 40, and Babul, 35, said assistant sub-inspector Shilabrta Barua of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the hospital, he said.
Quoting the injured, ASI Shilabrata Barua said that the accident took place as a truck turned upside down on the road at about 8:00am.
