Two people died from electrocution in separate incidents in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj today.
The deceased were identified as Shujan Mia (28) and Shahed Mia (35).
Quoting locals and eye witnesses, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madhabpur Police Station Md Abdur Razzak said Shujan Mia came in contact with a live electric wire at his home while Shahed Mia, a battery-run auto-rickshaw driver, was electrocuted when he went to charge the battery of his auto-rickshaw at a garage.
The bodies sent to the morgue of 250-bed Modern District Sadar Hospital for autopsy, the OC said.
