Another consignment of 25 lakh doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka tomorrow, said a press release from the health ministry today.
At around 10:15pm, the vaccines will arrive at Dhaka airport from Florida, USA by a cargo plane under the COVAX arrangement, according to the press release signed by Maidul Islam Prodhan, senior information officer of the ministry.
US Ambassador Earl R. Miller and Director General of the health directorate Prof ABM Khurshid Alam along with other health officials will receive the vaccines at the airport. In total, Bangladesh has received a total of 36,04,480 jabs of Pfizer vaccines under COVAX facility so far.
