Police today arrested four people in a case filed in connection with three teenagers missing from Pallabi area of the capital.
Pallabi Police Station Sub-inspector (SI), Sajib Khan, confirmed the information to this afternoon.
The arrestees are Md Tariqullah (19), Md Rakibullah (20), Zinnia alias Tiktok Zinnia Rose (18), and Sharfuddin Ahmed Ayon (18).
He said the accused would be taken to court today and police will seek a seven-day remand for questioning.
Elder sister of one of the missing teenagers filed a complaint at Pallabi Police station, under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act, against 10 people yesterday -- citing the names of four. She feared that the girls were trafficked abroad.
On September 30, three teenage friends -- in college uniforms -- left their homes without saying anything to their families. One of them took Tk 6 lakh in cash, another took 2.5 tola of gold and the other took Tk 75,000 and several mobile phones from their houses.
