The government has decided to lift the Covid-19 restrictions, imposed last month amid Omicron fears, from Tuesday.
“There will be no more restrictions from February 22 [Tuesday],” Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told the media after the weekly Cabinet meeting on Sunday.
He, however, said that people will have to continue wearing masks outdoor. “Masks are mandatory to attend any kind of meeting, seminar or social event.”
“Academic activities at senior schools, colleges and universities will restart from February 22 and primary schools from March 1. The restrictions will be not extended beyond February 22. Everyone will have to wear masks in educational institutions” said the cabinet secretary.
