At least three people were killed as a shoe factory caught fire at Ashulia, on the outskirts of Bangladesh capital Dhaka, on Tuesday evening.
Of the victims, two are females and the gender of the other could not be ascertained as the body was charred, officials said.
The fire broke out at Uni World Footwear factory on Bangabandhu Road of Ashulia at about 5:10pm, said Fire Service Headquarters senior station officer Shajahan Sikder.
He said that 10 fire fighting units rushed to the spot to contain the fire.
Reasons of the fire could not be confirmed immediately, he said.
