Two people on a motorcycle were killed as a lorry hit the two-wheeler on Khilgaon Flyover in Dhaka early on Friday.
The deceased are Bidhan Biswas, 42, and Entaruzzaman, 43, said Sub-Inspector Hasan Munshi of Khilgaon police station.
The speeding lorry slammed into the motorcycle, causing the two to fall off of it and sustain serious injuries.
They were taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty pronounced them dead at around 5am, according to the SI.
Police later seized the lorry, but its driver had already fled the area by then.
