Former election commissioner Mahbub Talukdar has died at a hospital in Dhaka.
He breathed his last around 1:00pm on Wednesday at the United Hospital, his daughter Irin Mahbub Talukdar confirmed.
She said her father fell sick after suffering a massive cardiac attack around 12:oopm. Later, he was rushed to the United Hospital where he passed away around 1:00 pm.
The former election commissioner has long been suffering from cancer.
