Buet students visit Rab headquarters for details on Fardin's death

A group of students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) visited the Rab headquarters to see the findings and evidence collected by the elite force during their investigation in the death of their peer Fardin Noor Parash.

At the invitation of Rab's investigating officers, a team of 20 students, went to the Rab headquarters in the capital's Uttara this afternoon.

The students went through the findings and evidence gathered by Rab during their investigation.

The students, however, did not disclose any information regarding the investigation by Rab. They will hold a press conference at Buet campus tomorrow where they will formally talk about their visit at the Rab headquarters.

Earlier, on December 14, Detective Branch of Police said that Fardin died by suicide. The following day, a delegation of Buet students went to the DB office at Minto Road and DB chief Harun Or Rashid presented their findings.

After coming out from the DB office, the students alleged that detectives could not produce any solid evidence in favour of their claim that Fardin died by suicide.

After near month-long investigation, the two investigative agencies, DB and Rab, claimed that Fardin died by suicide.

When asked about this, Buet student Tahmid Hossain said, "Rab investigation team have presented their findings and evidence before us. We will talk about this in details in our press briefing tomorrow."
