At least four people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a mango-laden truck and a cow-laden pick-up van in Pukurpar area under Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj on Thursday morning.
The deceased are Sujan Sheikh, 32, and Rabbi Hossain, 24, of Gaibandha district and Masud Rana, 30, and Ayaan Sheikh, 4, of Natore district.
Hatikumrul Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Bardul Kabir said that the accident occurred at about 7:00am and left six people injured critically.
He said that the locals and the police rescued the injured ones and rushed to a nearby hospital but four died on way to the hospital.
The police officer said that the two injured people were now taking treatment at the hospital.
