Oikyafront to wear black badge Wednesday against ‘vote robbery’

Jatiya Oikyafront is going to form a human chain wearing black badge in the capital on Wednesday, protesting what it said ‘vote robbery’ in the December-30 national election.

The programme will begin at 3pm in front of the Jatiya Press Club and conclude at 4 pm with the participation of Oikyafront leaders and activists.

Senior leaders of the alliance will address the programme, said Gono Forum training affairs secretary Rafiqul Islam Pathik.

On January 31 last, Jatiya Oikyafront spokesman Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the programme after a meeting of the steering committee of the alliance at Dr Kamal Hossain’s Motijheel chamber.

Besides, the alliance will hold a public hearing with the participation of Oikyafront candidates and victimised voters on February 24 on the same ground.

Jatiya Oikyafront, a platform of five parties, including BNP and Gono Forum, turned down the December-30 election results, bringing the allegations of massive ‘vote robbery’.
