Khaleda’s health condition improving:  Mirza Alamgir

Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Isalm Alamgir on Sunday said that the health condition of the party chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia was improving.

‘She [Khaleda Zia] already tested negative for the virus and she is gradually recovering from the complications she had been suffering for post-Covid effects,’ Fakhrul said addressing a virtual press conference.

Earlier on the day, the law ministry, in a press release said that their recommendations, issued by law minister Anisul Haque regarding BNP chief Khaleda’s treatment abroad was sent to the home ministry on the day.

Former prime minister Khaleda Zia is tekaing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Her younger brother Shamim Eskander on Wednesday night submitted an application to home minister Asaduzzaman Khan seeking permission to send Khaleda, who tested Covid positive on April 11, abroad for better treatment.
