Rangpur has turned into a city of processions and slogans centering today's public divisional rally of BNP.
Leaders and activists from different areas of eight districts under the division are gathering at the rally venue in processions.
Since this morning (October 29, 2022), BNP leaders, activists and supporters were seen bringing out processions through the entrances of Rangpur city including Mahiganj Satmatha, Medical Intersection and Terminal Road areas.
As the day progresses, the number of processions on the main roads is increasing and the sound of the slogans is getting stronger as well.
BNP leaders and activists were seen changing slogans in favour of their demands which include party chairperson Khaleda Zia's release and elections under a non-party neutral government, among other demands.
Basically, from yesterday afternoon (October 28, 2022), the party workers of different districts gathered at the venue -- Rangpur Collector's ground -- and were demanding the unconditional release of Khaleda Zia.
While visiting Mahikganj-Satmatha intersection this morning, our correspondent found that BNP leaders and activists were entering Rangpur city with hundreds of three-wheelers from Kurigram and Lalmonirhat.
Meanwhile, people of Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Dinajpur districts entered Rangpur with motorcycles since morning. They were going to the venue in processions through medical intersection.
