AL remains alert to resist BNP’s anarchy, says Quader

Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said that the AL leaders and activists had remained vigilant to resist anarchy of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party in the country.

‘We will not attack anyone. We have not done it so far. Now, we remain alert to resist the BNP’s attack,’ he told a view-exchange meeting at the party office of Dhaka district unit of AL in Tejgaon in the afternoon.

‘If they (BNP) come to power, they will gobble up the Liberation War of Bangladesh. If they come to power, they will swallow the independence of Bangladesh. That is why, the evil force must be resisted together,’ he said.

The AL general secretary urged the country’s people to defeat BNP in the upcoming elections to uphold the country’s victory achieved in 1971.

The BNP is the trusted resort to all evil forces, so the party must be defeated, he said, adding that otherwise, the victory will not be consolidated.

Quader exchanged views with the presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka north and south units and Dhaka district unit of the AL, elected party representatives and presidents and general secretaries of AL’s affiliated organisations’ central, Dhaka north-south and Dhaka district units.
