BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas’ wife Afroza Abbas alleged that the police have helped two helmet-wearing men who hurled the crude bombs targeting Mirza Abbas’ residence flee.
Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal president Afroza Abbas made the allegation while talking to newsmen at their residence in the capital's Shahjahanpur area today, Tuesday afternoon.
However, the police termed the allegation made by Afroza Abbas is her political statement.
On this issue, deputy commissioner of police in Motijheel division, Hayatul Islam Khan told , “It’s her political statement. She has given a political statement regarding the issue. The police force doesn’t have any involvement here.”
