Rizvi continues mass campaign in Dhaka calling for election boycott

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has called on people to help make the party’s non-cooperation movement successful and boycott the 12th national parliamentary election.

He made this call while distributing leaflets in the capital's Rampura and Shahjahanpur kitchen markets around 8am on Saturday.

Rizvi said: “The people of the country and the democratic world have come to know that Sheikh Hasina is conducting farce elections which have already been labelled as a dummy election.”

Calling upon the people and the voters, he said: “You should not go to the polling station in the upcoming election on January 7. Don't ask others to go either. The demands of a non-partisan, neutral caretaker government will be met by bringing down this government.”

Rizvi and other leaders handed over leaflets to shopkeepers, common people, pedestrians, and rickshaw pullers.
