Youth held while trying to enter Khaleda Zia’s hospital cabin

A youth was detained and handed over to police on Saturday evening when he tried to enter the cabin of main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Police could give the youth’s single name, Sujon, and said that he was from Faridpur.

Police said that Sujon tried to enter the cabin of Khaleda Zia when the hospital staff detained him and handed him over to Bhatara police station.

Sujon claimed that he went to Basundhara Residential Area for the purpose of a job and went to see Khaleda Zia as she was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Sujon went in front of the cabin and tried to open the door when he was intercepted and inquired, said the police officer.

Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment since her admission to the hospital for medical tests on August 9.

Physicians said that she had been suffering from multiple complications, including severe liver, heart, and kidney-related problems.
