After romping to a series victory over Bangladesh, Afghanistan were facing some embarrassment themselves, having lost five wickets for 32 runs inside first 16 overs in the third ODI in Chattogram today.
Playing without their marquee spinner Rashid Khan, the visitors opted to bat first but were on the back foot right from the go, with Shoriful Islam creating havoc.
The left-arm pacer struck two blows in his second over as Afghanistan lost three wickets, including last match's centurions Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, early in the innings.
Shoriful, in for Mustafizur Rahman as part of three changes, had both Zadran (1) and Rahmat Shah (0) caught behind, with movement and bounce off the pitch.
Taskin Ahmed then removed Gurbaz (6), who had scored 145 in the last match, with a short ball.
Shoriful had his third when he removed Mohammad Nabi (1) with an LBW before Shakib Al Hasan took care of Najibullah Zadran (10).
The visitors were 32 for five in 16 overs.
Bangladesh are seeking to avoid a first ODI home series whitewash since 2014, having lost the first two matches of the series, by 17 and 142 runs, respectively.
