Begum Khaleda Zia becomes victim of Hasina’s vengeance

Special Correspondent, Jan 21 (Just News): BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, also the former prime minister of Bangladesh, has become the victim of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s personal vengeance and enmity.

The pressure which is creating on the most popular leader of the country is unimaginable. Sheikh Hasina with her loyal and partisan Law secretary Dulal is conducting the physical and mental oppression on the BNP chief with a false and fabricated case.

Dulal often makes threat pointing gun to judges at their residence to fix the verdict of trial in favor of the government. Under his direct involvement and directions the court is harassing Begum Khaleda Zia by producing her before the court three to four days in a week. What the present government is doing is not a trial but a farce against a three times elected Prime Minister of the country.

In last week the BNP chief appeared before the court three times. This week court ordered Begum Khaleda Zia to appear before it on 15,16,17,18 and 21January which is five days in a week. Appearing in the court is now become a routine work for the main opposition leader of the country, it reflects the fury of Sheikh Hasina under the banner of trial.

Begum Khaleda Zia is always obedient to rule of law. In emergency period of the country Begum Khaleda Zia regularly appeared before courts to face the false and fabricated cases filed against her but Sheikh Hasina fled away from the country to escape the trials. Later Hasina withdrew her all cases filed by the last caretaker government in her first time, and misusing the state power she owned.

Government is using Begum Khaleda Zia’s respects for law as a tool to punish her by the court.

Thousands of cases are pending in the courts of Bangladesh still. Fixing the trial consequently three times a week, bounding the defendant to appear before the court physically and threatening with arrest warrant, is rare in the history of trial across the globe.

Under prime minister Hasina’s direct intervention, politically appointee Dulal is now using his muscle and forcing the judges to continue harassment and oppression through trial against the former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Dulal himself is influencing the trial behind the bar in a leading role. More than 14 false, politically motivated cases are also shifted to this makeshift court at Backshi bazar under the instruction of Hasina government. It is nothing but a blue print designed by the Hasina to keep away Khaleda Zia from regular activities of politics and to make the BNP chief disqualified for the next national election. Peoples’ fury over this oppression and harassment against Begum Khaleda Zia is fuming day by day. They are preparing for mass uprising against the brutal and dictatorial regime of Hasina which continues for ten years. Mass uprising is becoming an imminent future of country.
