Bangladesh reports 3 more Covid deaths

Covid-19 claimed the lives of three more people and infected 312 others in Bangladesh in 24 hours ending Wednesday morning.

With the latest statistics, the total death toll hits 27,961 and infections to 15,74,948 since the country had recorded the first Covid infection on March 8, 2020, and death from the viral disease on March 18, 2020.

The daily test positivity rate is 1.49 per cent.

Of the deceased, one was male and the remaining two were female patients.

The Directorate General of Health Services came up with the latest statistics on its daily Covid press release.

A total of 21,002 samples have been tested during the reporting period across the country at 836 laboratories while Bangladesh had tested 1,07,82,981 as of November 24.

In the past 24 hours, 338 patients recovered from the viral disease totalling the recovery to 15,39,193.

In case of the divisions, one each died in Chattogram, Rajshahi and Khulna divisions.
