A motorcyclist died after a compactor vehicle of Dhaka North City Corporation hit him in Dhaka's Panthapath area this afternoon, a day after a Notre Dame College student died -- being hit by another such vehicle in Gulistan.
The deceased was identified as Ahsan Kabir Khan.
The accident took place around 2:30pm when the DNCC vehicle hit the motorcycle, leaving Ahsan critically injured. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Asaduzzaman, inspector (investigation) of Kalabagan Police Station.
Police seized the vehicle but its driver fled.
Yesterday, Nayeem Hasan, a student of Notre Dame College, died after a vehicle of DSCC hit him while crossing the road in Gulistan.
