Two people were killed and seven others were injured after a tourist microbus fell into a ditch at Jibonnogor of Thanchi upazila in Bandarban on Thursday morning.
The one of the deceased has been identified as Hamidur Rahman, 40, an employee of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, while the identity of the other one is could not be known immediately
Thanchi police officer-in-charge Sudwip Roy said that the accident took place at about 10:15am near Nildiganta tourist spot while the microbus was on its way from Bandarban to Thanchi.
One of the deceased died on the spot while Hamidur Rahman died on his way to the hospital.
The OC said that all the passengers of the vehicle were security guards of BUET.
The injured were hospitalised, he added.
